Running DCMA 14-Point Schedule Audits

How to verify logic density, detect negative float, remove lead/lag distortions, and certify schedule integrity.

1

Upload or Select a Schedule Baseline

Import a Primavera P6 XML schedule via the dashboard. Forge immediately checks the file for structural integrity and cycle loops.

2

Navigate to Schedule Quality Assessment

In Schedule view (/dashboard/schedule), click on the Health Audit tab. Forge automatically evaluates the 14 standard Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) metrics:

1. Logic (Missing Predecessors/Successors) < 5%
2. Leads (Negative Lags) = 0%
3. Lags (Excessive Positive Lags) < 5%
4. Relationship Types (FS dominance) > 90%
5. Hard Constraints < 5%
6. High Float (Float > 44 days) < 5%
7. Negative Float = 0%
8. High Duration (> 44 days) < 5%
9. Invalid Dates = 0%
10. Resource Assignment Verification
11. Missed Tasks Tracking
12. Critical Path Test (Driving continuity)
13. Critical Path Length Index (CPLI) > 0.95
14. Baseline Execution Index (BEI) > 0.95
3

Interpret Health Grades and Scores

Forge assigns an aggregate schedule score from 0 to 100 alongside a letter grade (A through F):

Grade A (95/100)
Indicates a sound, defensible schedule suitable for forensic delay analysis and SCL Protocol claims. Schedules graded C or below will face challenges in formal arbitration.
4

Remediate Identified Schedule Anomalies

Click on any failing metric to view the specific Activity IDs responsible (e.g., tasks with dangling logic or negative float). Resolve the issues in your P6 source file and re-import to lock a clean baseline.
