Enforcing Statutory Notice & Time-Bars

How to monitor live condition-precedent countdown tickers and generate legally binding delay notices before entitlement windows expire.

1

Monitor Time-Bar Tickers in Daily Triage

In your Triage Inbox (/dashboard/triage), delay signals extracted from daily logs or meeting minutes display a live contractual countdown clock:

Foundation Concrete Delivery Delay⚠️ 11 days remaining (FIDIC 20.1)

Event Date: Aug 14, 2026 • Statutory Notice Deadline: Sep 11, 2026

2

Understand Contractual Notice Thresholds

Forge tracks notice requirements based on your contract type:

FIDIC Red/Yellow/Silver (Sub-Clause 20.1)Strict 28-day notice window from awareness.
NEC4 ECC (Clause 61.3)8-week compensation event notification limit.
AIA A201 (Section 15.1.3)21-day claims initiation deadline.
JCT Standard Building ContractWritten notice "forthwith" upon apparent delay.
3

Generate Formal Statutory Notice Letters

When a signal is selected, click Generate Statutory Notice:

  • The engine formats a formal letter addressed to the Engineer / Employer.
  • Cites the governing contract clause (e.g. FIDIC 2017 Sub-Clause 20.2.1).
  • Includes contemporaneous event quotes, affected CPM Activity IDs, and initial duration estimates.
  • Appends a standard contractual reservation of rights for time and prolongation costs.
4

Dispatch and Lock Contemporaneous Proof

Once dispatched to the Employer, upload the transmission confirmation receipt into Forge. The notice is permanently linked to the dispute bundle and stamped with a cryptographic SHA-256 evidence record.
